Earlier this year, outlets claimed that the highly revered title would receive a physical release in 2026. We have yet to receive an official announcement from the developers, Team Cherry, and based on the information in the latest report, it seems this version of the game will take a bit more time but will arrive in 2026. Hollow Knight Silksong Physical Edition Release Date Set for October 16, 2026
Through the latest report from billbil-kun on Dealabs, details about the physical edition of Hollow Knight: Silksong have been revealed, including the release date and price. The physical edition is set for release in the United States on October 16, 2026. It will be available for Switch 2, which is also compatible with the original Switch, along with PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One versions.
In terms of pricing, the Switch 2 version of the game will cost $44.99, while the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One versions will be available for $39.99. The Switch 2 version will come with the full game on cartridge, featuring an upgrade specifically for the Switch 2. Additionally, fans will receive a 32-page manual and a fold-out map of Pharloom. The physical edition is being distributed by Fangamer, who also handled distribution for the previous title.
The report indicates that Hollow Knight: Silksong will receive a physical re-release for the Switch 2 and PS5 in the United States. This version is compatible with the Switch and will be available on October 16, 2026, priced at $34.99 for both platforms. The physical copy will include a game cartridge or disc, a 28-page manual, and a fold-out map of Hollownest. The date for the official announcement and details regarding Europe have not yet been revealed.
