High Moon Studios, a developer assisting with development on Call of Duty Warzone and other projects, has been affected by the latest Xbox layoffs.
CharlieIntel was the first to report of the layoffs on social media.
Founded in 2001, High Moon Studios was acquired by Activision in 2008 and was part of the Microsoft purchase in 2023. Since its founding, the studio has worked on Call of Duty, Destiny, and Transformers.
The layoffs at High Moon Studios adds to a growing list that includes Turn 10, Rare, The Initiative, Sledgehammer, Raven, ZeniMax Online Studios, and more. In addition to the layoffs, a number of games have been cancelled including Perfect Dark and Everwild.
Microsoft has not responded to any request for comment on the layoffs, game cancellations, or studio closures. Should any response be received, it will be added to this story and others.
