PlayStation has confirmed that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is releasing for PS5 this year.
PlayStation’s latest post on X (formerly Twitter) confirms that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will arrive on PS5 this Summer, but we haven’t received a release date. Moreover, the post features a poster for the game with the word ‘Enhanced’ written under it, which has many players curious about what it means.
The listing for Hellblade 2 on the PlayStation Store is already live. The description states that the game is optimised for PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro Enhanced and will feature “immersive haptic feedback” to provide new ways to experience it. Interestingly, a claim from February 2025 had stated Hellblade 2 would come to PS5 very soon.
About Hellblade 2
Hellblade 2, as many may have guessed from its name, is the sequel to Senua’s Sacrifice from 2017. The psychological horror-based action adventure takes players back to 10th-century Viking Iceland, where your task is to save others who have fallen victim to the “horrors of tyranny”.
Players get to experience the game through the perspective of a Celtic Warrior who suffers from psychosis, as they explore a world recreated with real locations from 10th-century Iceland. The game also features “brutal and visceral combat”, which you must master to survive as Senua.
In other news, Hellblade 2 will be available through Game Pass Standard this month. What are your thoughts on PlayStation confirming a PS5 release window for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2? Let us know below, and join the official Insider Gaming forums discussion.
