Where to Find Heal, Hop, And Golden Eggs in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2

Easter starts early in Fortnite v24.10 after a slight delay getting all of the spring content into the game for Chapter 4 Season 2 Week 3. Easter does, of course, mean eggs, and there are three types of egg to find in Fortnite for the Easter 2023 period: Heal Eggs, Hop Eggs, and Golden Eggs. None of these eggs spawn in fixed locations. In fact, they are laid by chickens as the match progresses. So, in order to find eggs in Fortnite, you need to find chickens. Flocks of chickens can be found almost anywhere in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, but you’re more likely to find them in rural areas. We found a flock laying Heal Eggs at Crusty Crates, south of Lonely Labs. And we found a flock laying Hop Eggs near the Windrush Ravine between Frenzy Field and Mega City. We never saw a chicken lay a Golden Egg, but we found a Golden Egg near each flock.

What do Heal Eggs do in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2?

Heal Eggs can either be consumed or gathered, and count as foraged items. When you consume a Heal Egg, you get an immediate increase of 10 to your health and/or shields, and health/shield generation for several seconds. They can also be used more quickly than most healing items in Fortnite, making them a good emergency option. So, find these Fortnite eggs if you want to restore health and shields after a battle.

What do Hop Eggs do in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2?

Hop Eggs can also be consumed or gathered, and also count as foraged items. When you consume a Hop Egg, your jumps are much more powerful for a while afterwards. It’s similar to the effect of the Soaring Sprints Reality Augment, only you don’t need to sprint to get powerful jumps. After eating a Hop Egg, even a standing jump will be much higher and with lower gravity. So, find these Fortnite eggs if you want to jump ahead.

What do Golden Eggs do?

Golden Eggs cannot be consumed or gathered, only collected. Except you don’t really collect them. It’s more like you break them open and Gold Bars fall out, which you can then pick up. Each Golden Egg contains 350 Gold Bars, so they’re well worth keeping an eye out for. So, now you know where to find Fortnite eggs, and what they do.
