After over a year of waiting, the full release of Hades 2 is right around the corner, and we’ve got the details on all the platforms you can play the title on.
Hades 2’s full 1.0 launch is set for September 25, following over a year in early access on PC, which coincides with the game’s release on console for the first time.
Not every platform is included at launch, however, and some players will have to wait longer than ever. All the relevant details are in this guide.
Is Hades 2 on PlayStation 5?

No, Hades 2 is not available on PlayStation 5 and is launching as a Nintendo Switch console exclusive, alongside PC.
Early access has been available on PC since early 2024, with the full 1.0 release bringing the title to both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. However, there is currently no planned release for the PlayStation 5.
This is a similar approach to the original Hades, which also skipped consoles aside from the Nintendo Switch on its full launch.
Is Hades 2 on Xbox Series X|S?
No, Hades 2 is not available on Xbox Series X|S for the same reasons as it is unavailable on PS5—it is a Switch console exclusive at launch.
While players on both Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 will be able to enjoy Hades 2, those on the Xbox family of consoles face a long wait, as there is no news on an Xbox release.
Again, this is the same approach as the original Hades, which skipped consoles aside from the Switch on its full launch.
Will Hades 2 Come to PS5 or Xbox Series X|S?
There is no guarantee that Hades 2 will come to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S, but an eventual launch on the platforms does seem likely.
In the official FAQ, Supergiant Games states they have not “ruled out” bringing the title to other platforms, but the current focus is only on PC, Switch, and Switch 2. The same path was taken for the original Hades, and a “similar path” is being taken with the sequel.
Hades did eventually launch on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, however, including having a stint in the Xbox Game Pass library, so a future launch does seem likely—especially given the success of the two games.
The first Hades was released on PlayStation and Xbox platforms just under a year after its full release, so don’t expect Hades 2 on either console until mid-2026 at the very earliest.
