After over a year in early access, Hades 2’s full 1.0 launch has been set, which comes alongside the release on a new platform. That leads to questions about the cross-progression stance, which we have all the details on.
Hades 2’s 1.0 release on September 25 brings the title to the Nintendo Switch family of consoles, though those on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will have to wait even longer, as there is no news on launches on either platform.
If you’ve been playing Hades 2 in early access on PC and want to know if you can transfer your progress to Nintendo Switch, this guide has all the details.
Does Hades 2 Have Cross-Progression?

Yes, Hades 2 offers cross-progression and cross-saves between PC and Nintendo Switch platforms at launch.
The feature is confirmed in the Hades 2 FAQs, which confirms you will be able to transfer save data “through a simple in-game menu.”
It seems this is not just a one-time feature either, as the cross-saves feature suggests you can switch platforms however many times you wish, meaning you can play on the go on Switch 2, or at your desktop.
This will require an internet connection, however, so if you want to play Hades 2 on Switch 2 while travelling, for example, you need to transfer the save data before you leave.
Will Hades 2 Have Cross-Progression With Future Platforms?
No details have been shared about cross-progression and cross-saves with future platforms, should Hades 2 be introduced to the likes of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
At the 1.0 launch, Supergiant Games’ full focus is on the existing platforms, though a future launch on the Sony and Microsoft titles has not been ruled out.
The original Hades only had the cross-save feature between Switch and PC, though it was possible on Xbox platforms through the Play Anywhere service.
It’s unlikely this approach will change for any future platform launches, so if you’re planning to play Hades 2 on them, if they ever arrive, you’ll have to start your journey again.
