GTA 6 Trailer Has Already Broken 3 Official World Records

The GTA 6 trailer has officially broken three world records, which has been revealed by the Guinness World Records.

The three world records broken by the GTA 6 trailer are:

  • The most viewed videogame reveal on YouTube in 24 hours with 90,421,491 views.
  • The most liked videogame trailer on YouTube with 8.9 million likes in the first 24 hours alone.
  • The most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours (non-music), previously held by Mr. Beast.

At the time of writing, the GTA 6 trailer has amassed a staggering 104 million views, beating the lifetime accumulation of the GTA 5 reveal trailer, which currently stands at 101 million views.

Rockstar Games released the trailer prematurely on December 4, 2023, following an online leak of the trailer which had a huge $BTC watermark in the middle of the screen.

In a statement following the game’s announcement, it was confirmed that GTA 6 will be launching on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X, but there was no mention of a PC release.

GTA 6 is on course to likely be the fastest-selling game of all time, which is held by GTA 5 at an impressive 16.5 million units in three days – equivalent to $1 billion in revenue.
