Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look topped Netflix’s English film list with 31.1 million views and ranked at the top spot in 87 countries.
The unprecedented Netflix presentation actually crashed the platform at one point on August 27. Then, players got nearly half an hour of footage that dove deep into Jason and Lucia’s story and what to expect from this Vice City escapade.
GTA 6 Extended Look Brings Millions Of Views To Netflix

Netflix shared the news on its website, once again touting that all the footage was captured exclusively on the PlayStation 5. They also touted that the upcoming game has the pressure of following GTA 5’s record for the biggest entertainment launch of all time.
In a first-of-its kind premiere on Netflix, Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look topped the English film list with 31.1M views and hit No. 1 in 87 of the 93 countries tracked globally. Captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5, the 27-minute extended look gives fans the most in-depth reveal yet of the much-anticipated continuation of the groundbreaking Grand Theft Auto series, following Grand Theft Auto V, which holds the record for biggest entertainment launch of all time.
GTA 6 suffered several leaks in the build-up to the Netflix presentation. They’re currently working with Microsoft and Discord to take legal action against the leaker. Insider Gaming will continue to monitor the story and report any updates as more information becomes available.
