Crop, a gritty farming thriller, has been revealed. During the Triple-i Initiative Showcase on April 9, the forthcoming game from Carbonara Games was revealed.
The game is described as a farming thriller where your life depends on the yield.
The trailer showed what a normal day would look like as players go through a day of farming in a grim setting. Players are just completing normal farming tasks, but they seem to be startled by pigs, and narration ominously spoke of reaping what you sow.
“Keep digging for answers, and you will reap what you sow,” the narrator said before showing what appeared to be a body being buried. The game is available to be wishlisted now on Steam.
More Details on Crop
Players control someone who was abducted and bound to a dying farm. They must dig, plant, irrigate, and cut through the decay, all while solving the mystery of the protagonist’s abduction and completing the daily cycle. There’s only one way out, and it’s through the harvest.
Carbonara Games is located in Norway, and this release is slated to be their first. On social media, the team regularly talks about “thinking about pigs,” hinting at the ominous role the pigs play in the game.
Insider Gaming will continue to report any news on the upcoming thriller as more updates are revealed. Check out everything being announced during the Triple-i Initiative Showcase at this link.
