GreedFall 2 Launches Into Early Access in Summer 2024

During today’s Nacon Connect showcase, the studio announced that GreedFall 2: The Dying World will release in Early Access in summer 2024.

Nacon did not confirm a concrete release date, though fans did get a brand-new cinematic trailer.

The original GreedFall launched in 2019, an action RPG set in a magical open world. The game still has Mostly Positive reviews on Steam, and average reviews on Metacritic.

Nacon didn’t reveal many gameplay details about GreedFall 2 today. But in a new tweet, the studio did tease that players will “explore far beyond into the unknown”.

Some players may still be a little wary after Nacon published The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. The developer, Daedalic Entertainment, eventually issued an apology for the game after release.

However, fans may also recognize Nacon for the WRC series, RoboCop: Rogue City, and Ad Infinitum. RoboCop: Rogue City in particular earned strong player ratings.

Also, GreedFall 2 is planning on an Early Access period. So, the development team should have ample opportunity to smooth things out ahead of launch.

Nacon issued a press release today adds more about GreedFall 2’s premise. You will play as “a Teer Fradee native snatched from his native island and taken to Gacane, the homeland of the settlers”.

So, it’s clear that GreedFall 2: The Dying World will literally take players beyond the island of the previous game.

Nacon also announced that a “live session run by the developers” will explain more at 8PM CET, on the Spiders Twitch channel.

Benoit Clerc, the Head of Publishing at Nacon, recently criticized oversaturation in the game industry. They stated that there are “too many games currently on the market”.
