Getting the early scoop on a review embargo date is big—especially when it comes to Ghost of Yotei. It’s easily Sony’s biggest PlayStation exclusive in 2025, and its review scores could help catapult it to even bigger success.
It’s hard to describe how much hype there is for Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Yotei. The developer took a big risk moving on from inFamous, as well as Sly Cooper, to make Ghost of Tsushima. But a studio with so much quality and technical expertise was unlikely to fail with this.
Ghost of Tsushima was a huge success, and Ghost of Yotei is somehow looking to eclipse it.

Ghost of Yotei Review Scores Prediction
I think a score in the region of 85-90 is a realistic review round-up score for Ghost of Yotei, and we believe the first game was treated rather harshly.
Believe it or not, Ghost of Tsushima’s final Metacritic score (based on 122 critic reviews for the PS4) was 83/100. We’re in a day and age where anything below a 9 is almost not good enough anymore—which is silly. 83 is a really solid score, but the game was incredible, looked even better, and handled like a dream.
The power of the PS5 is on Sucker Punch’s side to create the ultimate open-world title it’s always wanted to. With lessons learned from Ghost of Tsushima, the stage is set for Ghost of Yotei to go one better and get into the mid-to-high 80s. Whatever happens, Yotei will be one of the games of 2025 and is sure to sell millions of copies.
