Can You Play Frostpunk 2 on Xbox Game Pass?
Yes, Frostpunk 2 will be available with an Xbox Game Pass subscription immediately when it launches on September 18.
Although Microsoft’s announcement of Wave 1 games in September does not include Frostpunk 2, as it covers up to September 16, it has already been confirmed that the title will launch day one on the service.
Confirmation of Frostpunk 2’s inclusion in the catalog is shown in the Xbox Store, where a ‘Coming to Game Pass’ button is displayed alongside the purchase options.
How to Play Frostpunk 2 on Xbox Game Pass
Using your Xbox account, you can add Frostpunk 2 to your ‘Play Later’ list, and pre-download of the title will be available before the launch.
Even if a full download is not available, Xbox usually has a small placeholder you can download, which will automatically update to the full version as soon as it can. To complete the full process, follow these steps:
- Access your Xbox account, either on console or on PC.
- Ensure your Game Pass subscription is active.
- Open the Xbox Store.
- Search for Frostpunk 2 in the search function, or click the Games Coming Soon tab.
- Click on the game page.
- Press to download the title, with the option showing where a purchase option is usually found.
When all the steps are completed, Frostpunk 2 will be ready to play the moment it launches with a subscription. However, you must be logged into the account the service is tied to, or playing on the ‘Home Console’ of an account with an active subscription.
