Ghost of Yotei: Most Wanted, a roguelike game mode for Ghost of Yotei, was revealed during the September 3 PlayStation State of Play. The mode will be part of Ghost of Yotei: Complete Edition, a robust update arriving on October 1.
The mode will feature 4 playable characters, and the big surprise is that Jin Sakai, the protagonist of Ghost of Tsushima, will be one of them.
Jin Sakai Returns in Most Wanted Mode
In the roguelike mode, players will have to complete bounties that become progressively more difficult as they are completed. Most Wanted features 4 playable characters, each with unique abilities: Atsu, Oyuki, Nagato, and Jin. Sucker Punch highlighted that it was important for them to build the mode so that it feels like an extension of the Ghost of Yotei campaign experience, meaning the controls will be similar.
Players will earn Mon during matches, a currency used to unlock new techniques, weapon upgrades, charms, and more. All cosmetics unlocked in Most Wanted can be used in both the base game and the story expansion Echoes of Sekigahara.
To access the new game mode, players who already own Ghost of Yōtei can pre-order the Complete Edition Upgrade for $14.99. This upgrade will grant access to Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted and Ghost of Yōtei: Echoes of Sekigahara starting on October 1. Additionally, players will receive instant access to all in-game content previously included in the Ghost of Yōtei Digital Deluxe Edition, as well as the Charm of Hokkyokusei. For those who do not own the game, the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition is available for digital purchase now at a price of $69.99.
