Do you remember before the launch of Battlefield 6, when Battlefield Studios pledged to release only grounded, realistic skins? And then later, when they teased a skin that was a bit too blue and the community pushed back, they responded by softening the gaudy color scheme of said outfit?
Well, thanks to an all-new datamining effort, it has been discovered that, in the very near future, Battlefield Studios might throw caution to the wind entirely, stumping up fantastical outfits in Battlefield 6 by way of a Dead Space crossover.
Hold On To Your Helmets
Battlefield 6 is still enjoying a relatively rocky lifecycle that sees the player count ebb and flow between the major updates. It peaks and troughs, like any live-service shooter, but, by all accounts, it’s not doing too badly. In the next big update, Battlefield Studios is dishing out a hearty helping of balancing changes, adjusting map sizes, and tweaking optics, but more important content is yet to be revealed.
Thanks to the recent datamining efforts of Temporyal, that content might have been revealed.
It was recently suggested on social media that a big Halloween event might introduce some kind of Dead Space crossover in Battlefield 6, along with the introduction of the game’s fifth season of multiplayer content.
Temporyal released screenshots of a whopping thirty-six skins that could come to Battlefield 6 in the next few months, including crossover packs with Dead Space, a horror-themed franchise from Electronic Arts, and Medal of Honor, an almost forgotten first-person shooter series.

It’s worth stressing that this information is based on datamining efforts and, as such, is not at all guaranteed to be added to the game at any point. Most of it might never surface, in fact.
Some fans have argued that this is the perfect way to do skin collaborations, by introducing a crossover outfit that’s relatively well grounded in your existing universe. While the helmet might be unmistakably Dead Space, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the rest of the outfit.
