HoYoverse has announced that Genshin Impact Version 7.2, titled ‘Hour of Ruin’, will arrive on November 4, introducing a major storyline, a new region in Snezhnaya, and two new playable characters. It’s a pretty hefty update, to say the least.
This upcoming update raises the stakes for Teyvat as its seven nations unite to confront a mysterious catastrophe threatening civilization. It’s all about exploration, and that means both the new region and the two new playable characters, Mitya and Valeriy, entering the fray.
Genshin Impact Expanding Further
In Version 7.2, Genshin Impact players will work alongside Archons, Neuvillette, and other allies to contain an unprecedented crisis. The beating heart of the update is a new Archon quest that, upon successful completion, rewards players with free Primogems and character ascension materials, amongst other things.
The new region in Snezhnaya is ripe for exploration. Players will be invited to dig through Novokitezhgrad, a sprawling underground city, head to Wingspan Peak, and go for a stroll around Old Kitezhgrad. There are contaminated crystal deposits to track down and destroy, unlocking key information about the lore of Snezhnaya.
This region will also yield new challenges, fresh quests, and a ‘colossal underwater creature’ to fight.
Here’s a trailer for Genshin Impact Version 7.2:
The two new characters expanding the roster in Update 7.2 are Mitya, a five-star Electro Catalyst wielder, and Valeriy, a four-star Electro Sword user and Major of the Armory Palace.
Beyond the main story of Update 7.2, players can participate in a limited-time cooperative crisis event in Hour of Ruin, earning them free Primogems and other exclusive rewards.
