Prime Video has announced that Fallout Shelter: The Experiment will be released on the platform on January 13, 2027.
The live-action Fallout adaptation on Amazon Prime Video has been a massive success, with two highly acclaimed seasons and fans waiting for a third. It seems that they have also managed to secure a Breaking Bad actor as one of the cast members for the upcoming season. However, today we have been informed about the release date of a different Fallout series: a reality show.
Fallout Shelter: The Experiment Releases Next Year
The release date for Fallout Shelter: The Experiment was revealed through a new post on the official X account (formerly Twitter). The announcement post doesn’t feature much, just the words “The World is Ending, The Competition is Just Beginning.” Interested readers can check out the announcement teaser below:

Earlier this year, Fallout Shelter: The Experiment was announced with a casting call. The announcement stated that the show was looking for “volunteers for a very real, very scientific opportunity to beta test a better society.” It also stated that this series is a reality show and will feature “escalating challenges, strategic dilemmas, and moral conundrums.”
A report by GamesRadar says the unscripted reality show will premiere with the first four episodes on the release date, with the remaining three released weekly until January 27. The contestants will be testing their “aptitude for the apocalypse in Vault-Tec’s state-of-the-art bomb-proof vault shelters,” and the winner will go home with $1 million.
