Additional details have been revealed for 007 First Light at Tokyo Game Show, headlined by the reveal of Gemma Chan in the cast.
The actress, who has starred in the likes of Crazy Rich Asians and Marvel’s Eternals, was featured in a new teaser for 007 First Light, portraying a character who is “critical” to James Bond’s journey to earning 00 status.
The reveal came after a short string of action sequences for the title, launching in March 2026, and adds to the growing list of confirmed cast members in the title.
Gemma Chan Joins 007 First Light Cast

In details posted on the Xbox Wire, Chan’s role was revealed to be Dr. Selina Tan, “a brilliant and passionate academic with a background in psychology and game theory whose role at MI6 is critical in Bond’s journey.”
Chan’s role comes off the back of several other cast announcements for the title, which include Patrick Gibson as Bond, Priyanga Burford in the role of M, Alastair Mackenzie as Q, Kiera Lester as Miss Moneyponey, Lennie James as Bond’s mentor, John Greenway, and Noémie Nakai as Miss Roth.
It marks a significant career step for Chan, who lends his voice and likeness to a video game for the first time. Her role as Tan is as the head of MI6’s Tactical Simulation, and is a new character specifically created for the game. Her role oversees “a cutting-edge program designed to test and refine the skills of MI6’s most promising recruits.”
Xbox describes First Light as a “highly cinematic experience” with a “thrilling narrative following James Bond’s first step into the world of espionage.”
