007 First Light, created by the team behind Hitman, has now secured a release date: March 27th, 2026.
The date was revealed during the game’s own State of Play, hosted by PlayStation. The stealth-action game showcased around 25 minutes of gameplay, featuring a young James Bond navigating the world of espionage and intrigue. While 007 First Light’s gameplay was certainly thrilling, many are more excited about being able to get their hands on the latest from IO Interactive. Fortunately, it won’t take long at all.
New Gameplay Trailer Showcases 007 First Light’s Combat, 2026 Release Date
In the trailer above, which appeared at today’s State of Play, IO Interactive set March 27th, 2026, as 007 First Light’s release date. Currently, the game doesn’t have any competition launching alongside it, but that can change in the next few months. Regardless, the brand name of James Bond is enough to be reckoned with.
The State of Play finally provided some gameplay of the title, including combat and stealth. We get to see Bond use the environment to his advantage, like dropping chandeliers and such. His search for the rogue 009 looks to be as loud and brash as the films can be, which fans will be delighted with. Given the wait for the next film, 007 First Light has a lot to live up to. Hopefully, it will do such and with Bond’s charismatic charm.
