Two weekends of the Gears of War: E-Day beta get underway in August 2026, and those playing in week one were frustrated that they weren’t getting the full extent of the content, but this has all changed.
Once you know how to play the Gears of War: E-Day early access and open betas, it’s time to actually play them.
Gears of War: E-Day is letting in thousands of players to test out the game’s Horde mode and multiplayer, and now you can do it on both weekends.
4v4 PvP Versus Available in Both Gears of War: E-Day Beta Weekends

Originally, week one of the beta was only going to be the new Horde Siege game mode, with PVP being restricted to the second week.
After some backlash from early access players, who have already pre-ordered the game, The Coalition has backtracked at the last second to include both game modes from the get-go:

Here’s an official X announcement:
‘We heard you. We acted. PvP Versus is coming to this weekend’s early access period for the Open Beta. Available for pre-download now.’
Once the first week is up and running, you can play PVE in Horde Siege, or get straight into diving into corners through 4v4 PVP online multiplayer.
Judging by the comments, understandably, the Gears of War community is a lot happier!
