THE INSIDER SAYS: “ No, this isn’t GTA IV remastered. It isn’t Driv3r 300 or whatever. This grimy (in a good way) look at the underside of city life is Samson. It’s a combo of racing, street fighting, and doing whatever you gotta do to pay off your debts. Frankly, it’s about damn time we got a game like this.”
Samson looks lean, mean, and focused on a life of crime. In fact, the devs have been pretty clear with saying that this is meant to be a focused experience. You’re still moving between different parts of town, dealing with all the factions, but you’re also getting a tightly-delievered story.
Here’s the deal: You owe a debt. You’ve got to chip away at it every day or you’re a goner. You’re taking all sorts of jobs to clean the slate and how hard you push dictates how hard the Tyndalston PD will come down on you. But you have to pick carefully, there’s only so many missions you can take in a day — so don’t screw it up! Miss your daily quota and….well, it would be in your best interest to NOT miss a payment to the boss.
The dev team at Liquid Swords have the goods to deliver. Former devs from Avalanche Studios (some of the folks behind the Just Cause games) gearshifted to release a title that was only revealed a handful of months ago. While we haven’t had a lot of time with the game, we’re looking forward to getting our hands dirty soon!
