Frontier Developments has revealed its roadmap for upcoming releases, including the launch of a new Planet franchise and the recently announced Disney collaboration.
The developer has a big release around the corner in Planet Zoo 2, slated for launch on October 13, but Frontier Developments also has plans for additional releases in the years ahead.
More details have now been shared about the upcoming releases, including the broad release windows for three titles.
New ‘Planet’ Franchise Game Launching FY28

In the latest earnings report, Frontier Development shared a roadmap, seen above, detailing the major releases on the horizon, revealing that a new title in the Planet franchise is slated for launch in the 2028 fiscal year.
That will be followed by a new Construction & Management sim (CMS) title in the following fiscal year, followed by a major Disney collaboration, which is slated for release in the 2030 fiscal year, at the earliest.
No details have been announced for what the upcoming titles will be, apart from the Disney collaboration, but a new entry in the Planet franchise means it won’t be another Planet Coaster title, nor will it be Planet Zoo.
As for the new CMS game in the 2029 fiscal year, that may be a sequel to an existing title, potentially Planet Coaster 3 or another Jurassic World Evolution game, but more details will be revealed.
Alongside those major launches, players should expect a heap of both paid-for DLC and free updates to existing titles, bringing new items and features to the games.
