Planet Coaster Developers Have Announced a New Game With Disney

Frontier Developments, the studio behind Planet Coaster and the Jurassic World Evolution series, has announced it’s working on a new game with Disney.

Details on the project are relatively slim, but a press release says that the game will “build upon the company’s extensive experience and proven capabilities as a leader in the creative management simulation genre.”

Disney World Sim Game

The description basically implies that Frontier Developments will be working on some kind of sim game with Disney, which presumably means that you’ll be able to create your own Disney World.

Frontier Developments and Disney’s announcement comes as the Disneyland Resort passed its 70th anniversary earlier this year, when a slew of announcements were made about expansions and new rides.

It’s not clear when the Disney game will be announced, but it’s reasonable to assume it’s in early development, which means we’ll have a few years to wait to see exactly what the team is making.

Jo Cooke, Chief Executive Officer of Frontier Developments, said:

“We are delighted to announce this collaboration with Disney, which further reinforces our clearly defined strategy of developing and nurturing world-class creative management simulation game franchises.

Our mission with this game is to connect a passionate creative community of players with one of the world’s most iconic and beloved brands, and I can’t wait to see what our talented teams will create with this amazing opportunity.”

Frontier Developments’ latest game, Jurassic World Evolution 3, released to generally favorable reviews on Metacritic, hitting between 78 to 82 out of 100 depending on the platform.
