A new report claims that FromSoftware is in advanced development of an unannounced game, scheduled for release next year.
According to the report, the game is reportedly under the codename ‘FMC’, and is an additional project alongside Elden Ring: Nightreign updates as well as the Nintendo Switch 2 title, Duskbloods.

MP1ST states that “considering the nature of the source these details come from”, the project is likely in advanced development and could be released next year. It’s stated that the project is in development for multiple platforms, which rules out its not Duskbloods despite a codename not currently being known.
It’s likely that the author of the article, Kurakasis, who typically obtains information via trademark filings, has found something similar in the public domain, leaving him to believe that the game, or project, will release sooner rather than later.
As for what the game could be, the report speculates that previous Dark Souls and Armored Core titles started with the letter ‘F’. While not super significant at face value, developers have been known to follow trends when it comes to their codenames.
The report goes on to dismiss that the title is likely from Armored Core; however, following the publication, many fans within the Armored Core franchise have pointed out that the series does have plenty of semi-sequels, expansions, and spinoffs.
However, for now, we’ll have to wait and see what the game will be. If the report is accurate, and it is indeed far into development, we could hear about it as soon as a couple of months from now.
