Call of Duty 'Saturn' is taking place in the near future (2025–2035) and would be including a new villain in a sequel to the Black Ops 2. On custom editor, it's far from done and yes, it will have round-based Zombies mode. The game is a continuation to Black Ops 6 in gameplay designing and follows that road, you'd expect open-world campaign missions, vehicles, aerial fighting and the game would introduces bigger maps than MWIII and BO6 while modern and futuristic weapons are also there.
For Xbox, it will be at least in 2026 and likely cloud-based rather than hardware – in case of handheld console – and reportedly is releasing
with CoD 2026.
On the Battlefield, Tom knows better than me but a free-to-play Battle Royal mode is in the development for beside massive maps to play in akin to Battlefield 2042.
Wait, you've heard from people working on Saturn? What kind of state is it in? Because I would be suprised if it's in a good state. And won't be a 'carry over' type game with BO6 weapons (which would be wack as fuck).

I heard little things (vehicles, open missions' approach etc.) but mainly used this
Insider-Gaming's recent report.
Carry-over is unlikely – as the Saturn set in 2030s – but the development is currently stopped as they're making decision to give the rest of development to whether Sledgehammer Games or Treyarch, I afraid if the next game goes the same road as MWIII gone.

Are we still sure CoD 2025 is still a BO2 sequel? Because I can't see how they can't spoil MWIV coming a year later or so? If so still having round based Zombies? And would Avalon be updated for a near-future setting? Why did Activision go for Verdansk instead of releasing Avalon this year?
Modern Warfare 4's development is still not progressive and Infinity Ward will lead it's development; Currently aiming for late 2026.

There's no plans currently on jetpacks in COD again. I think it would be worth them resisting it though. I particularly liked Advanced Warfare and I think the change in COD would be good every 4-5 years, I just don't know how it would work with Warzone.
So I wonder what SHG's next game will be, because the modern day is covered, the recent past too, only the near or distant future remains as "news"

I hope Activision/Microsoft doesn't refer them to being a support studio

I dont know if Warzone will be able to stay relevant in 2027 for example, i think the BR fever it's slowly fading. They have to evolve in a significant way the formula. Maybe the next big thing is the map creator project?

Hi Tom, i'm new here and i really like your work on the gaming news. So, First of all, thank you.

I'm really fan of RTS and i glad to see they are coming back to the Golden Age.

I know i'm asking you different questions but i would like to know if you could give Is some info about the following ones:

1) i seen your article about the next Stronghold game, called " the Dark Ages". Do you think we'll see the First trailer next year. And do you know more about It that you could share with us?

2) Xbox and World's Edge done a great work with the AOE franchise. The latest AOM Retold has been a critically success and It sold well. The future of AOE should be bright. So, about that, did you hear something about potential other AOE games in the works (AOE 5 or AOM2)?

3) After the ABK acquisitions there were some rumors about new StarCraft 3 under development? Is It true? And did you hear something about Warcraft 4?

4) last question: do you think Relic Entertainment could joint into XBOX studios in the near future?

Thanks a lot for your work and for all answers you will able to share with us.

Have a nice day.

Cheers from Italy, Ciao!!

Some insiders like NateTheHate and Shinobi602, 2025 will be a strong year for PlayStation. Do you have any information which leads you to believe that this could be true (or false)?

I missed this one. Pls do another at some point.

Or can you let us know if we're getting a PlayStation PC launcher at some point

It's a difficult one, and as I am assuming you mean a baby as you're a dad-to-be, I would just recommend that YOU, nature, etc., are the game for your baby. I wouldn't subject them to anything like that so young. My son could play games at 3 or 4 though.
Of course, I wouldn't want them gaming let alone in front of a screen until later on :) I meant around the 4-5 age. But absolutely right that real experiences are the real game at that age!

Sony is currently developing PlayStation 6 with two – reportedly – SoCs in contract with AMD from 2022. Handheld console isn't in the development, SIE's core business is on PS consoles and PC.
Well a handheld might happen at some point... But I am fine with just a powerful console from Sony then at least.

There's certainly a lot to pick from, but I think it all depends on the child own preferences. There's a game for every big TV show etc. these days, or just settle for something like Mario etc.

A strong year can be defined by a lot of different things. New games? They have a lot coming (if none of them slip).
