Fortnite’s slew of new content continues, and following an extended break from the last update from Epic Games, a fresh drop of content lands on July 16, with servers unavailable for a period of time.
The current season is in full swing and edging towards its final month, but the slew of new content arriving shows no signs of stopping. In the July 16 Fortnite update, that includes a major new collab.

When Will Fortnite Servers Be Back Up?
Fortnite servers are down for several hours for the July 16 update, though the exact time of their return has not been confirmed by Epic Games.
Following on from the last patch on June 25, Epic Games continues with the familiar downtime schedule, with the latest drop marking the second mid-season update.
Fortnite’s servers are expected to go offline at around 4 AM ET on July 16 and will remain unavailable for around three-to-four hours, based on the standard downtime duration for updates of this size.
That means you can expect the Fortnite servers to return at around 7-8 AM ET on July 16, but social media remains the best place to track when the servers are back online.
What’s in The Fortnite July 16 Update?
Fortnite’s big July 16 update marks the start of the DC Hot Bat Summer event, bringing a range of comic book items back into the fray.
Special summer-themed skins for Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Batman, and Catwoman are set to be available, alongside the latest array of new Sprites to collect, including Batman Sprites.
The new update could also provide teasers for the new Fortnite Festival season, alongside other hints of the major collabs on the horizon, including the likes of SpongeBob SquarePants and David Beckham.
It will also mark the latest shift towards the latter end of the current Fortnite season, which is set to end on August 20.
