Epic Games has officially confirmed that Sprites will remain in Fortnite for Chapter 7 Season 4, introducing a “whole new generation” to collect.
Sprites made their return to Fortnite in the current season with a new collectable approach, which has proven to be a popular mechanic among players, and Epic Games has now confirmed that they will return next season, and potentially long-term too.
New Generation of Fortnite Sprites
A post on the Epic Games communities page confirmed that Sprites will be back in Season 4: Override, which will include “new powers and variants,” quality-of-life improvements based on player feedback, and “new ways to discover Sprites in (and out of) your games.”
The Sprite Garden was also revealed, described as an “island getaway” where players can play with the Sprites they have collected and visit friends’ gardens to see their collection.
As players collect new Sprites in Season 4, they will be immediately added to the Sprite Garden, and Sprites from “past generations” may return in future.
Among the slew of new Sprites coming in Season 4 are the five Design-a-Sprite contest winners, which will arrive in a mid-season update, which are revealed as the Bullet Sprite, Dumpster Dive Sprite, Honey Sprite, Pond Sprite, and X-Ray Sprite.
For the remainder of the season, players have been told to be on the look out for boosted drop rate days, surprise Power Hours, and new quests to expand their collection.
