Fortnite Pets Are Reportedly Being Reworked To Be A Bit More Fun

Your furry companions are set to get a bit of a makeover in Fortnite in the near future. According to two known Fortnite leakers, pets are being reworked for a future update in the game.

Reported by ShiinaBR and FNBRintel, pets in the game will now “follow you around throughout the game, and will be sold in the shop similar to kicks”.

Pets, which debuted during Fortnite Season 6, function similarly to back bling with the ability for others to pet them. They also have unique reactions to the events taking place around them, and can be used in Battle Royale, Creative, Fortnite Festival, and Save the World.

It’s unknown, per FNBRintel, if old bets will be updated to the new system.

Currently, there are 18 pets in the game. It’s also unknown if more will be added whenever this new update gets released to the public.

Epic Games has yet to confirm the changes for pets in Fortnite. Until that happens, even when it comes from reliable sources, take the information with a grain of salt.
