FlyQuest Announce Project: Grassroots Initiative To Support Tier 2 Esports

FlyQuest has unveiled a new initiative, Project: Grassroots, in a promise to support smaller esports teams and tournaments by offering financial and logistical support.

The North American esports organisation says it wants to help grassroots, collegiate and women’s esports teams as well as smaller, up-and-coming esports scenes.

Brian Anderson, the FlyQuest CEO, released a video explaining the new initiative and claimed: “Our core mission is to fix esports.”

“Project: Grassroots is going to be our initiative that’s going to those opportunities to support people all over the world, in different communities and games, who just want to play competitive esports,” Anderson added.

FlyQuest Promise to Help Smaller Esports Teams

As part of the announcement, Anderson also revealed that FlyQuest will be looking to support some initiatives later this year and in 2027, but also says the organisation has some roster and program announcements coming up in the near future.

As part of Project: Grassroots, FlyQuest is also asking the community to identify programs that they can help support and tag them on social media to alert them of possible opportunities.

Anderson highlighted past examples where the organisation had supported such causes, including paying for teams’ travel, helping the former Counter Logic Gaming Red Counter-Strike roster, and starting women’s esports programs.

FlyQuest also supported women’s esports by sponsoring the Eterna League of Legends team, which won the first-ever LoL Game Changers. It has since been confirmed that LoL Game Changers will return in 2027 with new tournament organisers.

FlyQuest is also one of the partnered organisations of the newly formed USA Esports non-profit organisation, which hopes to be recognised as the nation’s National Governing Body by the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee.
