Five Nights at Freddy’s Movie Trailer Leaker Said He “Did It For The People”

Five Nights at Freddy's Movie Trailer Leaker

The leaker of the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie trailer has taken to the internet to beg forgiveness and to, hopefully, not be sued.

In a post online, the leaker thought it was a good idea to try and explain himself as well as apologize for what he did while also saying there’s nothing he can do.

“I’m here to apologize,” he said. “Of course, there’s nothing I can do now that’ll remediate the situation. It’s on Twitter; it’s on Youtube; a billion reposts; it’s on Reddit now.

“I saw Scott Cawthon’s comment on Reddit now; he’s coming for me, he’s gonna kill me. I just want to say I’m sorry. Like I said, that doesn’t help at all. But if a single person can accept this apology, that’s good enough for me.”

He then ran through a list of people and companies he wanted to apologize to. However, after that, he went on to attempt to justify why he did what he did.

“I was being stupid, unreasonable, and a dumb jackass by leaking your movie trailer,” he said. “I’m sorry I ruined this for a ton of people. Don’t let your judgment get clouded by internet clout because that is exactly what happened to me. I was thinking about the views, the subscribers, the followers, the likes, all of this and it was all for nothing.”

In addition to his video, he admitted that he signed an NDA but leaked the trailer anyway “for the people”. He also seemed to accept the fact that there will likely be legal action taken against him for the leak.

With the leak out there, Five Nights at Freddy’s create Scott Cawthon took to Reddit to comment on the situation.

“I wanted to comment on this before the end of the day,” he said. “I got emails about this early in the day but was at an amusement park with my kids and was unable to see what had happened. I tried to ignore it and enjoy my day, but I was really, really, disheartened. I know that Blumhouse and Universal (and me too) have all worked very hard to make something really exciting to share. So the thought of a first-look being spoiled was frustrating, and I was really dreading coming home to see what all had happened while I was away.”

What do you think will happen to the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie trailer leaker?
