Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8, the final update from Larian Studios, is now live, bringing new features such as photo mode, cross-play, new subclasses and more.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Receives its Final Content Update
Baldur’s Gate 3’s Patch 8 is the last content update for the game. No more narrative content, storyline changes, origins characters, or companions will be introduced hereafter. Players can expect some minor bug fixing, but other than that, this is the last update for Baldur’s Gate 3. The highlights of this update include the cross-play, photo mode, 12 new subclasses, modding toolkit update, split-screen for Xbox Series S and Steam Trading cards. You can check out all the latest features here.
Larian Studios has also created an animated short for Baldur’s Gate 3’s final patch. In this short, we see the party come back together for one final adventure, and interestingly, Swen Vincke makes his animated debut, too.
If you are feeling down about Baldur’s Gate 3’s final update, don’t worry; this is not the last you will see from the franchise. However, this was the last time Larian Studios would be a part of it. It was revealed last year that Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast are already looking for new partners for its next Baldur’s Gate game.
In other news, Larian Studios have moved their ‘full attention’ to their next project. What are your thoughts on Baldur’s Gate 3 final update, Patch 8? Let us know in the comments or on our community forum!
