Final Fantasy 16 DLC Announced at The Game Awards, Available Now

It is now December which can only mean one thing, The Game Awards are here. Each year, the best games, developers, and personalities are recognized with over a dozen awards along with many showcases of the latest games we can expect to see over the coming year. Games such as Baldur’s Gate 3, Resident Evil 4, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are front and center this year with multiple nominations.

During The Game Awards, it was revealed that Final Fantasy 16 is set to receive two expansion DLCs and one of them is available to purchase now. The first is Echoes of the Fallen, which is available to purchase immediately from the PlayStation Store, while the second is titled The Rising Tide and is set to release in Spring 2024 with no set date given.

The two DLCs will add new chapters to the Final Fantasy 16 story and follow on from the main game. Both will be available as part of an expansion pass which will offer a special discounted price, although both can be purchased separately too.

No news was given regarding the PC port of Final Fantasy 16, which will likely happen in either 2024 or 2025 once the exclusivity deal runs out with Sony. It is still unclear whether the game will make its way to Xbox too.

Check out the trailer for Final Fantasy 16 Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide below.

  • Square should just let Nomura make Versus13 while they’re at it remake Parasite Eve and remake Chrono Trigger Dragon Quest 11 style. It’s better than this, 7 redo, forespoken, and foamstars.
