Reigning League of Legends World Champions T1 have officially qualified for LoL Worlds 2026 through the LCK Playoffs.
Gen.G has also qualified for Worlds after a 3-0 victory over KT Rolster, a result which guarantees T1 as at least Korea’s fourth seed.
Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok and T1 have won the last three LoL World Championships, a streak no other team has matched.
T1’s LoL Worlds 2025 win earned them a rare set of Riftbound cards, which netted Riot at least $10m.
Every LoL Worlds 2026 Qualified Team So Far
So far, seven out of the total 20 teams have qualified for Worlds, which is taking place in North America this year.
Hanwha Life Esports’ MSI triumph near-enough secured their Worlds qualification, and it didn’t take them long to secure their place.
The victory also meant that no LCK team will have to compete in the Play-In this year, meaning both Gen.G and T1 are guaranteed a spot in the Swiss Stages.
The last non-Korean team to win Worlds was EDward Gaming in 2021, so it’s no surprise that Polymarket gives LCK a 68% chance of being this year’s Worlds-winning region.
However, China’s Bilibili Gaming (BLG) will have something to say about that.
BLG have dominated the LPL this year, winning both splits so far and topping the Split 3 standings with a 12-2 record.
Having also won First Stand earlier this year, BLG have already racked up enough Championship Points to guarantee their place at the World Championships.
Similarly, the LCP’s Team Secret Whales also secured enough Championship Points to lock in their place. In fact, they were the first team to qualify having won both previous splits.
Meanwhile, their regional counterparts CTBC Flying Oyster, last year’s surpirse team internationally, also secured their place earlier this week.
And finally, MVK Esports has racked up enough points to secure a spot in the Play-Ins, knocking MSI contenders GAM Esports down to the newly announced Demacia Cup global LoL tournament.
