The Esports Nations Cup (ENC) preparations are well underway as the Esports Foundation (EF) has awarded ‘National Team Partner’ status to organisations and individuals across more than 100 countries and territories for the upcoming tournament.
From November 2 to November 29 2026, the first-ever ENC event will essentially be esports’ answer to the Olympics as countries compete across various video game tournaments. And just like the Olympics has strange events like breakdancing, ENC will follow that trend with Chess and Trackmania.
The National Team Partners will select rosters for each esport and establish structures in their countries to enable participation and supposedly grow its local esports scene. To ensure worldwide participation, countries and territories without a partner will be supported through regional structures provided by the EF.
The EF received over 630 applications from 150 countries and territories, and has now confirmed the initial partners for over 100 countries.
Currently, there are 60 countries with National Team Partners officially selected, plus another 40 nations which will be run by sole National Team Managers.
Esports Nations Cup — Notable National Team Partners
Unsurprisingly, a lot of big names in the esports industry have successfully applied to act as National Team Partners for the event with a total prize pool of $20m.
Great Britain’s ENC representatives have been confirmed as the British Esports Federation alongside multiple partners, including the Football Association (FA) and esports giants Fnatic.
Similarly, Spain has partnered with a lot of esports organisations in KOI, GiantX, Team Heretics, UCAM, and FC Barcelona Esports.
Surprisingly, France has not yet revealed a National Team Partner but does have a Team Manager in former League of Legends support Bora ‘YellOwStaR’ Kim.
Meanwhile, the newly launched USA Esports has become the representative of the United States with 100 Thieves, Dignitas, TSM, Spacestation Gaming, FlyQuest, Cloud9, and NRG among the multiple esports organisations supporting them.
China has also partnered with a large group of esports organisations in All Gamers, Anyone’s Legend, Talent Gaming, KuaiShow Gaming, Bilibili Gaming, Tyloo, Qin Jiu Club, Xtreme Gaming, Lynn Vision Gaming, and Trace Esports.
Meanwhile, Canada is partnering with Movistar KOI and Toronto KOI owners Overactive Media, while the Netherlands has partnered with Team Liquid.
