A new job listing reveals that players will get to explore ‘major singleplayer levels’ in EA’s upcoming Iron Man.
Spotted on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, the jobs.ea website has been updated with a new listing. EA and Motive are seeking a ‘Level Designer’ for their upcoming Iron Man game. The job description states, “Motive is looking for a Level Designer to create extremely fun, satisfying game levels that align with our creative vision.”
Moreover, the ‘Responsibilities’ section reveals that the company requires the level designer to “design and build major singleplayer levels” for the upcoming Iron Man title, within the project’s creative constraints. The game could also feature RPG elements, as one of the qualifications requires the level designer to have “experience in Singleplayer Action RPG games as a level designer and/or an avid player”.
What “major singleplayer levels” mean for Iron Man is difficult to understand. The title could be open-world and feature some expansive levels like those in Marvel’s Spider-Man series. Or, it could also be semi-open world, something like the Star Wars: Jedi series. Regardless, we will have to wait for an official reveal from EA and Motive to know for sure.
EA’s Iron Man was announced in 2022. It is a single-player, third-person action adventure game being developed using Unreal Engine 5; that’s all we have learned since then. The title was expected to be demoed at GDC 2025. However, its references were removed at a later date. Players have been hungry to learn more about the game, with many wondering what the flight mechanics would be like. Hopefully, a proper reveal for the Iron Man title comes soon.
