EA Confirms Battlefield 6 Can Reach ‘Up to 120 FPS’ on Consoles

An email from EA confirms that Battlefield 6 will reach up to 120 FPS on consoles through performance mode, and also talks about post-launch content, which includes covert operations.

Battlefield 6 is all set to release on October 10, 2025, and by the looks of it, the game is set to be one of the biggest titles of the year. Analysts have predicted that the game will sell close to 5 million copies in the first week, and Black Ops 7’s beta has already fallen short in front of BF6’s beta. We have now been informed about some Battlefield 6 post-launch content and console performance details.

Battlefield 6 Can Reach 120 FPS on Consoles Through Performance Mode

Spotted by MP1ST, details about Battlefield 6’s 120 FPS framerate and post-launch content were shared via an email from EA with existing account holders. In the email, there is a section that states, “Built for Console & PC”, outlining the various features. The first one talks about the enhanced crossplay between platforms. The second feature discusses Quality and Performance modes, which state “up to 120 FPS or high-fidelity visuals.” The last feature discusses the PS5 Pro enhancements, which offer higher frame rates and resolution.

Regarding Battlefield 6’s free post-launch content, the email specifically mentions covert operations. The mail states that players can expect new maps, modes, weapons, and covert operations in the game’s first season. However, no other details were shared, so it is unclear how these covert operations will play out, whether they will be missions, daily challenges, or a new game mode.

In other news, Black Ops 7 and Warzone have copied Battlefield 6 with the new combat roll. Additionally, the game’s campaign lets players command a squad.
