Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s release date has been set as October 11, 2024. Here’s more information on the pre-order details and game editions.
Bandai Namco was present at Summer Game Fest 2024 tonight, with announcements for several games under their belt. The excitement went through the roof when Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s new trailer started playing and finally all prayers were answered towards the end.
At last, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has a release date and it will be arriving on October 11, 2024. Interested players will be able to pre-order the game now via Steam, Xbox Store, PlayStation Store or from participating retailers.
Players that pre-order the game will be granted a 6-character early unlock and a mystery playable character. These include standard Gogeta, Super Saiyan Gogeta, Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta, Standard Broly, Super Saiyan Broly and Broly Legendary Super Saiyan.
There are three editions up for grabs, Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate. The Standard Edition includes just the base game. The Deluxe edition includes the base game, 3 days of early access, a Season Pass for the first 3 DLCs and more than 20 playable characters along with the ability to summon Shenron.
The Ultimate Edition will include the Deluxe Edition benefits along with the Ultimate Upgrade Pack, which includes the Goku Super Costume with Power Pole, Emote Voice Set, 2 Player Card Backgrounds and 1 Customisation Item, along with the ability to summon Super Sheron.
Lastly, there is a Premium Colletor’s edition which includes a Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Exclusive Diorama (264 x 174mm) depicting a brawl between Broly and Ultra Instinct Goku. On top of that, you also receive the Lenticular Card with a voucher to upgrade to the Ultimate Edition. You also receive a steelbook case, a double-sided Metallic Bookmark and exclusive cards from Dragon Ball Super Fusion World Card Game
Furthermore, the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s new gameplay trailer showcased a new set of characters, including Jiren, Ultra Instinct Goku, Black Goku, Majin Buu and many more, All of these characters had varying movesets and unique abilities.
Interestingly, the battles were fought in some new stages too, with a few of them jumping over from the Dragon Ball Super series. However, the offline split-screen multiplayer mode for the game wasn’t confirmed. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is arriving for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam.

They needed some more here before having DLC. We needed Ultra Ego Vegeta for sure especially with Ultra Instinct Goku that’s a fight people would want to have themselves. I don’t think Beast Gohan or Orange Piccolo got shown off? Those should have been base roster. Hopefully GT gets its own DLC pass and original Dragon Ball.
