Danil ‘donk’ Kryshkovets set a new FACEIT record by breaking the 5,000 Elo mark on the platform after days of grinding Counter-Strike in FACEIT Season 9.
donk and Team Spirit may have skipped StarLadder StarSeries Season 20, but the Russian prodigy seemingly lost none of his usual sharpness, grinding FACEIT in the meantime.
donk has played 24 FACEIT games in the space of the last five days, recording 18 wins to only six losses in that time, resulting in the 19-year-old breaking his own Elo record.
That run of matches includes some ludicrous statlines, dropping 43 kills on Ancient on September 19 over 29 rounds, and 34 kills on Mirage on September 22 over 30 rounds.
As far as impact per round, donk recorded 25 kills in a 13-1 win on Mirage, banking a 2.12 FACEIT rating, before a 23/12/2 KDA on Ancient in a 13-7 victory.
Needless to say, if you’re queueing up on FACEIT, whether you’re a normal player or even a fellow pro, you don’t really want to be facing donk in any capacity.
The Team Spirit entry fragger now sits at 5,026 Elo, more than 200 points clear of FUT’s Dmytro ‘dem0n’ Myroshnychenko, who sits in second with 4,816 points.
donk vs ZywOo debate intensifies, but fans will have to wait
So as far as FACEIT goes, there can hardly be any doubt that donk is the best player on FACEIT, but what esports fans want is to have more data on whether it is donk or Team Vitality’s Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut who is the best player in the world.
After skipping StarLadder, Spirit are set to play ESL Pro League Season 24 in Katowice. While it is no longer IEM Katowice, it is still being played in the Spodek for the playoffs.
It was that setting that donk announced himself to the world as Spirit, and donk specifically, demolished FaZe in the Grand Final of IEM Katowice 2024.
Unfortunately, it may not be a fair fight, as according to stage host James Banks, Vitality are expected to travel with Justinas ‘jL’ Lekavicius as a stand-in for Vitality IGL Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire.
The Frenchman’s absence was also previously confirmed for the following event, PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, so as far as ZywOo vs donk, we may see them against each other on the server soon, but we’ll have to wait to see them face each other at full strength at least for a while.
