Everyone is undoubtedly excited for Grand Theft Auto 6, but there’s a huge community out there dying for the next evolution of GTA Online, with many hoping that comes with GTA 6.
Vice City is making a comeback, and from what we’ve seen so far, it looks like the perfect playground for some multiplayer madness. More races, more mayhem, and more heists is what we’re all after, but will any of that even be available in GTA 6, especially at launch?

Does GTA 6 Have GTA Online Or Multiplayer At Launch?
Rockstar has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 is a ‘single-player experience,’ with no mention of an online mode.
It’s fair to say that the announcement has caught plenty of fans off guard, as many expected an online mode akin to GTA Online to release alongside GTA 6. However, Rockstar has made it clear that, at least at launch, GTA 6 will be strictly enjoyed in a single-player capacity.

It’s a damning verdict, and whilst it might be disheartening to hear, don’t lose hope just yet. Rockstar has followed a reliable release pattern with its prior games, and there’s a strong chance the same could be happening here…
Will GTA 6 Get GTA Online Or Multiplayer?
Rockstar is yet to confirm whether GTA 6 will get its own multiplayer experience, but judging by previous releases, it’s incredibly likely.
When it came to GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, both titles received their respective online game modes shortly after their initial release, giving gamers time to explore the open world and complete the campaign. Only then were the online doors opened to the community, and it’s a safe bet to assume the same could happen with GTA 6.

Given the immense success and popularity of GTA Online, it’d be a monumental shock not to see an online mode eventually launch for GTA 6. Whether it releases as paid DLC, as a standalone title, or simply as a free add-on remains to be seen: just don’t expect to see it at launch—let Jason and Lucia have some of the spotlight first.
