Grand Theft Auto 6 is ready to take over the gaming world, as it’s almost time to secure your copy, but if you’re in the US and the UK, you’re likely still waiting.
Pre-orders are already live in places like New Zealand, as Rockstar has opted for a regional approach, and it’s got plenty of fans wondering when it’s their turn to empty their wallets.
Worry not, as we have it all explained below. Here’s when GTA 6 pre-orders go live in the US and the UK, including exact start times.
GTA 6 Pre-Order Release Date
Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders begin on June 25, 2026, almost five months before the game launches on November 19.
When it comes to pre-orders, you’ll find that there are two editions to pick from: the Standard Edition and the more luxurious Ultimate Edition, which comes packed with exclusive cosmetics, cars and story content.

That said, GTA 6 is only the second game in history to launch for $80, with Nintendo’s Mario Kart World setting the tone last Summer. It’s still a high price, but, depending on how you look at it, the Ultimate Edition only costs an extra $20, bringing the overall price to $100.
Pre-orders are available on both the digital stores for the PlayStation 5 and the XBOX Series X|S, or from any standard local retailer, though you won’t have much luck with a physical edition, since it’ll be missing a disc. It’s a sad moment for physical media fans, but if you’re still determined to pre-order the game, here’s exactly when you can do so.
GTA 6 Exact Pre-Order Start Times
Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders will go live at 12 AM local time on June 25, in both the UK and the US.
That means those of you in the UK will get to pre-order the game slightly earlier than anyone in the US, especially compared to the folk on the West Coast.

Hopefully, that short delay shouldn’t impact you too much; after all, you’ve still got five months to mull over whether you want to pre-order or not before the game releases! Still, if you want to pre-purchase the game and put it on the back of your mind, the option becomes available at 12 AM your time, so you might have a late night ahead of you!
