Does Dragon’s Dogma 2 Have Mounts? – Answered

The world of Dragon’s Dogma 2 is positively massive. You’ll spend a lot of time traveling between Melve and Vernworth, taking dirt roads to new destinations, and camping in the dead of night to avoid ambushes from beasts of all kinds. Do you know what would make a huge difference? Mounts in Dragon’s Dogma 2? But are there any?

Are There Mounts in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

Unfortunately, there are no mounts in Dragon’s Dogma 2 as of this writing. The game focuses on on-foot travel between villages and points of interest, with campsites set up strategically throughout the world to provide some respite.

It is unfortunate, especially considering the overall size of the game, as mounts, even something as simple as a horse, would have fit perfectly into the world. What I would give to fly on the back of the Gryphon terrorizing the farmlands outside Vernworth! Or, heck, even an armored horse stampeding through the streets of Melve in its defense against the dragon in Readvent of Calamity!

Will the Game Receive Mounts in Future Content?

It is unlikely that Dragon’s Dogma 2 will receive mounts in any future DLC or expansions. Suppose the game does receive an expansion in the future, which may not happen whatsoever. In that case, I suspect it will revolve more around storytelling and, perhaps, a new vocation or two instead of any significant mechanics like mounts and horseback riding.
