Like so many other multiplayer video games, ARC Raiders players will want crossplay so they can play alongside their friends, regardless of the platform they are on.
Playing multiplayer games alongside your friends is always going to be better than going at it alone. You have all bought the game, but you need to be able to party up for the best experience.
So, does ARC Raiders have crossplay? Here is the answer alongside other information we know about the game’s cross-platform status.
Is ARC Raiders Crossplay?
Yes, ARC Raiders has full crossplay across all platforms that the game is on. Whether you are playing on PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S, you can play with and against other players on other platforms.
So, you don’t have to worry about not being able to play with your friends just because they are playing on a different console than you. Of course, with ARC Raiders being a PvPvE competitive game, this will call into question the issue of balance.
Like so many other shooters, people playing with a controller going up against keyboard and mouse enemies will be at a disadvantage. That doesn’t mean that console players can’t do well against PC players, but aiming is a pretty important factor that will be far smoother with a mouse.
We imagine that crossplay will be enabled by default, but anyone worried about that competitive balance will likely be able to disable the cross-platform functionality without much issue.
Does ARC Raiders Have Cross-Progression?
Yes, ARC Raiders has cross-progression. As long as you sign into the same Embark account between platforms, your progress will instantly carry over.
While it might not be something that you use on an everyday basis, cross-progression has been just as important a factor as crossplay in today’s online gaming landscape. The ability to just hop to a different device and have everything follow you is great.
You should expect all of your stats and cosmetics that you have bought to carry over when you sign in to ARC Raiders on a different device. Unless a future exclusive skin is put in the game, they should all transfer over quite seamlessly.
