Everyone’s always looking for the next big thing. ARC Raiders could be this very treat in the extraction shooter market. Embark is aptly looking to take us all on its adventure, but we need to know how to play ARC Raiders before we start packing.
In ARC Raiders, Embark Studios may have another winner. The FINALS is still going strong and retains thousands of players each month. The developer is hoping ARC Raiders can do the same in the extraction-shooter market.
Read on for details on how to start blasting.
How to Play ARC Raiders

The only way to play ARC Raiders right now is to apply for an invite code for Tech Test 2 and hope you get lucky.
ARC Raiders has had testing before, and Tech Test 2 is the next phase. It’s not an open beta or anything wider, I’m afraid, which means you must manually apply to take part in the test.
To make matters worse, you’re not guaranteed to be accepted if you apply for an ARC Raiders’ Tech Test 2 invite code. You’re relying on pot luck and Embark being able to accommodate more players into its (presumably) very crowded servers.
Do we Know When ARC Raiders is Coming Out?
ARC Raiders executive producer Aleksander Gröndal has confirmed that ARC Raiders is launching at some point in 2025.
In a detailed Steam post, he said: “First things first, ARC Raiders will launch in 2025 here on Steam.”
We’re not sure if Tech Test 2 ends up being the final round of playtesting before launch. If it is, I’m sure you’ll hear it here at Insider Gaming.
What is ARC Raiders?
Embark Studios’ ARC Raiders is an extraction shooter where the goal is to go to the surface of Speranza and obtain supplies for your stricken colony.
Like Escape From Tarkov or Gray Zone Warfare, you must venture into hostile territory, find weapons and supplies, use them, and bring back new inventory. But the gameplay loop revolves around the notion of you losing everything if you die.
For more ARC Raiders content, we have information on every platform you can play it on, and you can check out a gameplay trailer to see what all the fuss is about.
Can ARC Raiders keep up with the competition? Or is it looking to bypass them and climb to the podium? Let us know in the comments, and check out the Insider Gaming forum for new posts, discussions, and much more.
