Do We Know The Last of Us Part 3 Release Date?

Following the immense success of the live-action television series and the critical and fan acclaim of the two games in the franchise, many find themselves eagerly awaiting a third entry. We want to finally learn more about Ellie and Abby and see where the story unfolds from here. But do we know The Last of Us Part 3’s release date yet?

When is The Last of Us Part 3 Coming Out?

Speaking about the studio, its future, and The Last of Us as a whole, Neil Druckmann said that Naughty Dog won’t always be The Last of Us studio forever. He wants to pursue other projects, unique storylines and single-player adventures, which means stepping away from the post-apocalyptic storyline altogether.

Does that mean they’re entirely done with the franchise? It’s unlikely. Again, following the incredible success of the television series starring Pedro Pascal, it would likely be foolish to toss the franchise aside now. There are still more stories within the world.

But we know very little about The Last of Us Part 3 release date. It’s not happening yet, but it is coming. Druckmann already said the team’s process for the third game is the same as the second game, focusing on a compelling story and message about love. But he also said that if the team can’t develop something, the ending in The Last of Us Part 2 was quite strong overall.

Will The Last of Us Part 3 Star Ellie?

While we know very little about The Last of Us Part 3 overall, including whether it’s officially happening, we can speculate that Ellie will play an integral role in its storyline. Whether it’s a short-lived appearance remains to be seen, but we know from firsthand experience that Naughty Dog has zero qualms about tossing out beloved mainline characters early on.

There’s a lot of story left to tell, from Ellie’s and Abby’s perspectives, but there’s also a world of survivors and tales within The Last of Us to explore!
