DICE Confirms Mouse and Keyboard Decision For Battlefield 6 On Consoles

Battlefield 6 will have mouse and keyboard support on consoles, DICE has confirmed.

In replying to a fan on social media, producer Alexia Christofi confirmed that Battlefield 6 will have mouse and keyboard support on console.

“We have it!” Christofi said in a straight forward response.

As far as if mouse and keyboard players and controller players will play together or kept separate, it’s likely that, similar to Call of Duty, players will be pooled together. While that isn’t 100% confirmed either way, keeping them together allows for a larger player pool that keeps matches fresher.

In addition to mouse and keyboard support, Battlefield 6 will include a form of skill-based matchmaking and DICE wants to know what’s so important about a server browser.

Battlefield 6 launches on October 10 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For the latest on the upcoming game, stick with Insider Gaming for all the latest news you need to know.

  • Probably will be using keyboard and mouse, since I’m mainly a PC gamer, though BF6 I’ll be getting for PS5 so I can play with my brother.

  • I was hoping the made it console only crossplay and let PC players go at it themselves.

I heard they’re trying to make it where console is linked to consoles first the fills up with PC if not enough players are found, but we’ll see how that goes.

This feature alone makes me take a step back, though.

  • “What’s so important about a server browser?” Tells us you don’t play your own game for fun.

  • Well that saved me some money, PC hackers ruining online gaming. Wont be wasting my money playing this game.
