Marvel Tokon PS5 Closed Beta Details Revealed

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is receiving a closed beta on the PS5 next month, from September 5 to 7. Learn more details below.

PlayStation Studios, Arc System Works and Marvel Games are responsible for the upcoming 2D tag team fighter, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. The game was announced during the Sony State of Play showcase in June, with the developers providing a release window for 2026. The devs are hosting a closed beta for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls next month.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls PS5 Closed Beta Confirmed for September 6

The developers have posted a brand-new closed beta announcement trailer on YouTube, which starts by showcasing reactions from content creators to the game’s announcement trailer. The trailer also provides players with brand-new gameplay, featuring characters like Iron Man, Captain America, Dr. Doom, and more, showcasing new moves, special abilities, game modes and more.

  • Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Closed Beta will feature online lobby matches and limited offline matches.
  • The gameplay will include rollback netcode and a spectator mode.
  • Players will be able to battle it out across three different locations in Marvel’s New York (City Centre, Avengers Park and Hell’s Kitchen).
  • There will be six playable characters, including Captain America, Iron Man, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, Storm and Doctor Doom.
  • The closed beta will also include a ‘startup battle tutorial’ to help players get into the flow.
  • Interested players can register here. If you are selected, you will receive an invitation via email.

For those unaware, Marvel Tokon is an upcoming 4v4 tag team fighter where players will be able to choose from a roster of heroes and villains from the comic books. The game will also include authentic stages, intuitive gameplay mechanics, fast and thrilling gameplay, anime-inspired visuals and more.
