Devolver Is Hosting a ‘Devolver Direct’ in June

Devolver Digital has revealed that it’ll be hosting another Devolver Direct this summer, and at present, it’s slated to take place in June – but that’s all we know. It isn’t yet known what’ll be shown during the event, but with so many titles both in development and on the way, we can be sure that there’ll be plenty to soak up.

In 2022, the Devolver Direct showcase at the Summer Game Fest was a fantastic undertaking, with Devolver showing off the likes of Cult of the Lamb, Anger Foot, Card Shark, The Plucky Squire, Skate Story, and more, all through a well-produced cinematic skit.

The Devolver Direct Should Be Impressive

Don’t just take my word for it – check out the showcase from last year. It boasted a higher production value than what most competing developers and publishers could hope to achieve:

Devolver Digital is responsible for the publishing of so many successful indie titles that you never really know what’s going to be showing next at these showcase events. Before, we’ve seen everything from Genital Jousting to Hotline Miami, and from Shadow Warrior to The Talos Principal emerge from within Devolver and its associated studios.

In the last two or three years alone, Devolver (and the fantastic indie studios that develop the games) have seen so many smash hits, it’s impossible to list all of them without bloating this article out to irritating proportions.

There are still some games from last year’s showcase that remain unreleased (or at least, in full), so we could see a revisiting, otherwise, there are dozens of studios hard at work just waiting for a chance to market their game to an eagerly-awaiting audience.

Devolver will likely update us with more information in the next week or two.
