Ubisoft Says 60 Jobs “Could be Impacted” in Latest Layoffs

Ubisoft is one of those companies forcing a return to office

A tweet from Social Operations Manager, Matthew Hayes, has revealed that Ubisoft has laid off about 60 people from its UK and US offices.

Thanks to a report from Gamespot, who reached out to Ubisoft on the matter, the company confirmed and elaborated that 60 staffers from the company’s offices in Cary, North Carolina, and Newcastle in the UK “could be impacted” due to organizational changes.

According to Matthew Hayes, the company did not provide any notice about the cuts.

Ubisoft’s next earnings call will be on May 16, when the company will report its full-year business results.

The game publisher is set to reveal its new publishing plans for the near future on June 12 with Ubisoft Forward. Expected game announcements include the likes of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and Skull and Bones. You can read what to expect at Ubisoft Forward 2023 here.
