Dear Passengers has all the hallmarks of a co-op classic. Its plane-based concept is fresh, as well as the cargo being hauled on said flights. We have the latest on Dear Passengers’ release information, and when you can book your one-way ticket to terror and turbulence.
It’s fair to say that once Dear Passengers made its way to social media, its popularity and expectant crowd exploded. It falls nicely into that 4-player co-op bracket that has been so successful for indie games in the last few years, but it looks like absolute bedlam in every sense of the word.
When is Dear Passengers Expected to Release?
The official Dear Passengers Discord server indicates the game will release ‘as soon as possible,’ and Steam has outlined a ‘2026’ release window.
Right now, there is nothing official in terms of a release date, I can say that much. However, you’d think FLEXUS is eager to release sooner rather than later to capitalize on the hype, especially if another indie multiplayer comes along sooner to steal the spotlight.
My main concern is that Dear Passengers will fall victim to the one thing you don’t want to happen to any flight: A delay.

I can’t imagine the weight of expectation on Dear Passengers already, with over 1.5 million whistles and counting. If FLEXUS gets this right, it could be in for the long haul.
Fingers crossed all the pre-safety checks are rigorous, and that the game is progressing excellently. Insider Gaming will keep you updated on any changes to the departure board.
Latest on Dear Passengers Demo Release
Like the Dear Passengers release window, FLEXUS has indicated that the public demo will be released once it’s ready, but a Gamescom 2026 demo is planned.
According to the Dear Passengers site:
‘FLEXUS is preparing a Dear Passengers demo for Gamescom and plans to release a public demo later, according to founder Semen Kozyura’s July 15 comment to dev.ua. The public Dear Passengers demo is not live on Steam, and no public release date, registration form, or access window has been announced.’
So, it’s likely you shouldn’t expect a full demo on Steam until after Gamescom 2026 has wrapped up at the very least. On the plus side, the demo should give us a first meaningful look at the gameplay and how wild lobbies can get.
