A long-requested feature is finally coming to Cyberpunk 2077 as CD Projekt Red has confirmed a metro system will be added to the game in update 2.1.
The announcement came during a livestream on Friday morning.
This new metro system, known as the Night City Area Rapid Transit (NCART), will feature five metro lines. Using it, players will be able to travel between 19 locations that can be used either for fast travel or a traditional metro ride.
“Well, the metro was not in our plans for a long time,” producer Monika Janowska said during the stream. “However, over time we’ve revisited out plan and with the Ultimate Edition on the horizon, we’ve decided that it actually could be achievable.”
The metro system will be accessible for players after the Konpeki Plaza portion of the game where players will get a phone call from the metro director.
In addition to the metro system, the next Cyberpunk 2077 update will add the ability to carry a radio and listen to stations from anywhere within the game as well as replayable car races, and more.
Update 2.1 with the NCART metro system will be available on December 5.
