Curve Games Sold For $29 Million To Nazara Technologies

Curve Games, the publisher behind games such as Human Fall Flat and Dungeons of Hinterberg, has been acquired by Nazara Technologies for $29 million (£21.6 million). The purchased was announced by Curve’s former parent company Catalis Group on LinkedIn on Tuesday morning.

“Catalis Group has today announced the sale of its subsidiary Curve Games to Nazara Technologies Limited Technologies, India’s leading publicly listed diversified gaming company,” the announcement reads. “The award-winning UK games publisher, which counts smash hit titles Human Fall Flat and For The King II among its portfolio, joins the Mumbai-based games and esports group, but will continue to operate autonomously.”

Per the announcement, Curve Games’ main office in London will remain open “with all staff and the leadership team remaining with the company.” The company’s in-house development studios in the United Kingdom and Canada are included as part of the sale.

“This deal is a perfect fit,” Curve Games’ executive chairman Stuart Disney said via release. “We’re joining a group that lives and breathes games and tech – including mobile, where we’ve barely scratched the surface. With Nazara, we will build on our strengths across console and PC, staying true to our indie spirit. It’s still about great games, great studios, and great players. Our next chapter starts here.”

“This acquisition not only brings valuable IP, global market access, and a highly experienced team into our fold – it also reflects our broader strategy of doubling down on core gaming,” Nazara Technologies CEO Nitish Mittersain added. “We’re committed to scaling high-quality game IPs, investing in new development, and supporting passionate indie creators as we build a global gaming powerhouse from India.”

In addition to Curve Games, Nazara Technologies also owns the sports media company Sportskeeda.
